I tested some old versions of IM and Anthony's inline: example works for IM 6.9.2.0 or earlier. But fails for IM 6.9.2.1 or later.

This works if all on one line:

hanks for the problem report. We can reproduce it and will have a patch to fix it in GIT master branch @ https://github.com/ImageMagick/ImageMagick later today. The patch will be available in the beta releases of ImageMagick @ http://www.imagemagick.org/download/beta/ by sometime tomorrow.
