In IM 6,

Code: Select all

convert -list format
shows PREVIEW:

But in IM 7,

Code: Select all

magick -list format
does not show PREVIEW, thought it shows other pseudo-image formats such as PLASMA.

There is no PREVIEW format in IMv7. Instead you have a -preview option to create a preview image and you subsequently save it in any format you want:

magick logo: -preview oilpaint tmp.png
However, that requires a patch available in IMv7 Beta by sometime tomorrow.
