Old time effects..

Hi,
I'm looking to make some old time photo or movie effects, and I was looking for advice and examples of what could be done with IM.
I've tried the basic BW, sepia and vignette.. I'm hoping to add things like rounded borders, rips, scratches, hairs, dust, etc. Has anyone tried this, or do you have ideas on creating these effects?
