Is there a recommended CPU list for IM optimized running?

Questions and postings pertaining to the usage of ImageMagick regardless of the interface. This includes the command-line utilities, as well as the C and C++ APIs. Usage questions are like "How do I use ImageMagick to create drop shadows?".

The ImageMagick development team has noticed a slight advantage using 64-bit Linux on a Dual Opteron with 2 GB of memory and Sata or SCSI disk drives.
