I recentally added almost half a section just on bi-level color quantization, just a little over a week ago. 
This includes threshold, monochrome dithering and quite a number of other dithering options.. IM Examples, Color Quantization and Dithering

PS: I am currently working to add a multi-level ordered dither function to IM basied on results from this new IM Examples section.
