Can't help other than to say i'm having the same problem, It's only when I try to install the ImageMagickObject OLE Control that I get this. Unfortunatly thats the only componant I want.
I want my VB app to render some SVG.

A bit more info... ImageMagick-6.3.1-7-Q16-windows-dll.exe is the install package giving me the problem and only then when i try to install the ImageMagicObject. I've not tried any of the other packages. I'm running XP sp2.
As the problem appears to be with adding info to the registry, could this be done manually?
P.S. If this thread is in the wrong place could a nice MOD move it
