just getting going with this and having some problems. downloaded
the apropriate binary and ctl-clicked it. selected 'BOMArchiveHelper
(default).' that extracted a tar file and the extracted the tar to the
folder 'ImageMagick-6.3.1.'

i then moved this new imagemagick folder to my applications
folder and went to the command line. cd'ed to the applications/
imagemagick-6.3.1 folder and tried 'convert logo: logo.gif' and
got the error '-bash: convert: command not found.'

before this i tried from the beginning the command on the main
site for extracting the binary 'gzip -dc ImageMagick.tar.gz • tar -xf -'
and got an error 'gzip: invalid option -- x.' that's when i tried just
ctl-clicking to do the extraction.

also tried the command 'export DYLD_LIBRARY_PATH="$MAGICK_HOME/lib"
as instructed on the same main page. that seemed to work, or at
least produced no error. did that from the same folder,
/applications/imagemagick-6.3.1.'

what am i doing wrong? how can i proceed and get imagemagick
properly installed and working? obviously a noob at this so any
help is much apreciated.
