How to update imagemagick?

How to update imagemagick?

Hello, I got ImageMagick v.6.3.1 installed on my Linux Server (centos OS) and I'd like to update it to the latest version 6.3.3. How to do it? Do I need to first uninstall the old version? How to uninstall it correctly? Thank you for any help you can give!

Best idea is to uninstall it, after you finished compiling the new one.

Use 'slocate' to find the install directories.

The RPM's however install/remove/update better if you are running such a package management system.
