I get the following error when trying to convert an image taken with a nikon D70, 'tis rather irritating, because i ended up using photoshop to convert the images, which defeated the neat batch processing by shell that i was trying to do:
Can anyone help me with this issue? Really i was trying to convert the images from a big JPEG to smaller images, but simply trying to covert the type gives the appropriate error. I admit that i am new to ImageMagick, so it could be something quite simple, but i cant figure it out. I have tried to include as much information here as possible.

I used the binaries from
ftp://ftp.imagemagick.org/pub/ImageMagi ... 8.0.tar.gz
I then installed the libs and bins to /usr/local/lib and /usr/local/bin respectively.
