I am going to be building a site that uses just about every feature of IM (converting images, adding frames, cropping, etc.) and will be very busy; therefore, I need to make sure that it is very responsive and quick. I am in the process of finding a killer programmer, but I am want to make sure that I am building it on the best platform. So should I be looking for a PERL, PHP, or RUBY programmer?
PS. I am leaning towards PHP because there is a larger talent pool, so I will be able to find more applicants that have had heavy IM backgrounds.
