lets see if I have this right. without example sit is hard.
You create a test image using montage.
you then divide the image using crop
but it still has some extra bands of color
Sounds like you need further crops on individual images, or a trim of the images
to remove the extra bands.
Alturnativeally download and try.. the 'divide_vert' script from IM examples

This divides an image into a vertical sequence of blank (one color) and non-blank areas. I hope to have this option added as a option to IM.
