Convert working on IM 6.7.7 but not in IM 6.8.9

I was using ImageMagick 6.7.7 on debian 7 (wheezy). It was working fine. But when i switched to debian 8 (jessie) and installed imagemagick 6.8.9, convert is not working properly. Its not merging gif image with another image.

If you want assistance, you need to provide the exact command used, and the source image files.

It is possible that your 6.8.9.x has a bug. That is an old version, why not upgrade to the latest IM 6
